Ruckus was a superstar at my favorite session today – The Lafayette Experience, a combination studio and outdoor session where we can capture the best of everything! And he was such a trooper posing in so many different ways. (He sat on my lap for a bit too and made my day!).

Big News!! I am so honored that one of my images is the cover photo for the March, 2018 Professional Photographer of America (PPA) Magazine! This is handsome Avery. Avery is a therapy dog with the Pet Hug Pack of Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF). Avery was also adopted from ARF! He spreads joy in hospitals and schools with his wonderful personality and dance moves! He gladly danced for me too in my studio. As you can imagine, it is not very often that a pet graces the cover of this magazine which represents every genre of photography.
I entered this image into PPA’s 2017 International Print Competition where it received top honors and was accepted into the prestigious Loan Collection. Here is some more information about the Loan Collection from PPA: “The current Loan Collection comprises more than 600 photographs chosen for distinction by jurors of PPA’s International Photographic Competition. The compositions are considered the best of the best in contemporary professional photography, having been awarded the Loan Collection distinction based on their success in meeting the 12 elements of a merited image.”
